JCs Bar Staff 2018/19 - 2019/20



The Role

We're recruiting for staff to work with us in the next academic year (2019/20). Successful applicants will receive training in the current academic year, progressing to working full shifts, ready to continue working in the following academic year. Your shifts will increase gradually, in line with the training you complete.


  • Serving customers
  • Money handling
  • Complete training required for the role, such as food safety and allergen awareness courses
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for other members of staff and customers
  • Providing good customer service
  • Understanding and abiding by licensing laws
  • Up-selling products¬†
  • Adhere to staff rotas and complete time sheets
  • All staff are required to be able to make all products that JCs Bar Provides, from coffees to cocktails; training will be provided.


We provide comprehensive online training to staff which must be completed before working at the venue. We also provide on-the-job training, under supervision from other members of staff, and special training events for bar staff to improve their knowledge of menu items including food and cocktails.

Working Hours

Shifts are typically 5 hours long, and staff are expected to work at least three shifts per week.


To be eligible for this position, you must be continuing your studies into the 2019/20 academic year.


Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview, which will take place between 11th February 2019 and and 8th March 2019.
